Road Show – Anuradhapura 20th August 2016

This was our third road show and was conducted at Hotel CRESTON PARK. Anuradhapura is an ancient capital of Sri Lanka with sacred and archaeological value. Both Local and Foreign tourists visit the city daily. We have great potential with emerging projects for new building and renovations. Specially for the hospitality industry.

We have also introduced value added products like HMR, MRX and HDX into the market and their applications, We have also introduced the new range of Global Art with GlobalArt Gallery and explained to distributors, how the decorative laminated MDF can be utilized for a wide range of interior furnishing and joinery applications.

Road Show – Badulla 07th October 2017

This was our 8th road show conducted at Hotel River Side Badulla is city in Uva province which in the hill country. We mostly had carpenters and masons from the area. We made them aware, particularity about our moisture resistant range (HDX, MRX, HMR) which ideal for this region due to high humidity. The people involved in masonry work were interested about shutter boards.

Road Show – Jaffna 22nd Oct 2016

Its was our 4th Road show in Jaffna and was conducted at Hotel Bright Inn. The construction industry is developing rapidly in the northern region, and the demand for MDF is increasing, Therefore Merbok needed to ensure that the scale MDF users are more aware about how to work with MDF and understand the product better.

Road Show – Kandy 28th Jan 2017

The Kandy Road show was the 1st event for 2017, after we had three successful shows in Rathnapura, Kurunegala,Anuradhapura and Jaffna in 2016, it was conducted at Hotel Sandy River Inn. MDF sales had been increasing steadily in Kandy for sometime, and this was to ensure the consumers are better aware of the product, to eliminate myths about MDF and to improve knowledge in the general usage of MDF in the community.

Road Show – Batticaloa 2nd April 2017

The workshop was conducted at Hotel East Lagoon. The product is still not widely used in the Eastern province compared to the Northern province, Therefore it was required to raise awareness in general about the products and their applications.However it was noted that some manufactures in this area were using Shutterboard innovatively in different types of furniture and fittings.

Road Show – Matara 01st July 2017

The Matara Road show was the 3rd event for 2017, after two successful shows in Kandy and Batticaloa in 2nd half of 2017 and it was conducted at Hotel Pearl Cliff. The Consumers in Matara had concerns about fungal attack when working with Rubber wood MDF, due to high humidity in Matara At this road show Merbok introduced a special product which we call the platinum grade with anti fungus to give a boost to the MDF sales in this area,

Road Show - Rathnapura

With the concept of making smaller scale MDF users more aware on correctly using MDF, the Merbok Road Show Product Promotion was started from Rathnapura district as the first of a series and was conducted at Hotel Famous.

The programme was conducted for the purpose of eliminating myths about MDF and improving knowledge in general usage of MDF in the community involved in furniture manufacturing, housing and interior decoration fields. It also aims for developing the local MDF furniture industry in to a level that can offer the best quality products for customers with the correct selection of raw material and proper techniques applied in manufacturing.

The Merbok road show offers any one with an interest in MDF products the knowledge and technical guidance in handling Merbok MDF with practical demonstrations by an expert team well versed in the MDF furniture manufacturing industry.

Merbok at Kurunegala

Road Show- Kurunegala held successfully on 25 th June at Hotel Diya Daharaa Kurunegala, as the second of the series of Road Show programs planed to be held island wide.

The program was carried on with the participation of professionals and students from various related fields such as, carpenters, trainee construction site surveyors, survey instructors, and quantity surveyors, technical college instructors of construction and carpentry and also businessmen.

Department of Small Industries-NWP and Technical College, Wariyapola were the main institutes that participated in the event. The workshop focused mainly on practical application of Merbok MDF boards in furniture industry and it was well explained and demonstrated to the audience with technical facts related with MDF products.

DAS enterprises one of the main MDF destributors in Sri Lanka also participated in the event.
